This 2-in-1 combo workshop is designed to empower Marine Corps families with tools to stay strong, connected, and informed through two key aspects of military life: deployments and Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves. Each portion of the class focuses on one of these important topics, offering practical information and resources to support family readiness and resiliency.

Deployment Readiness
Deployments are an expected part of Marine Corps life. When families are well-prepared for time apart, Marines can stay mission-focused – ultimately enhancing the readiness of the entire force. This portion of the workshop provides strategies to help families manage separation, maintain communication, and build emotional resilience. We’ll also discuss available resources and support systems to help you feel confident and connected while your Marine is away.

PCS Preparation
Military moves are frequent, and the Marine Corps is no exception. In this segment, we’ll break down the Permanent Change of Station (PCS) process – from planning and packing to settling into a new location. Learn what to expect, explore common duty station options, and get tips for navigating the emotional and logistical challenges that come with moving. Adaptability and proactive planning are key themes as we help you prepare for a successful transition.

Whether you're facing your first deployment or your fifth PCS, this workshop offers valuable insight and support to help you meet each challenge with confidence.

Open to all authorized patrons. Please call to register no less than 48 hours before class, 229-639-7935.
