School Age Care
The School Age Center (SAC) offers a variety of planned group and individual activities for children ages 5-12 or those enrolled in kindergarten through 6th grade. SAC Center provides before and after school childcare, extended break care, to include teacher work days, half days and winter, spring and summer breaks for school age children. They also host the summer Camp Adventure Program. SAC is an affiliate of the Boys & Girls Club of America.
Eligible users include military personnel; DOD civilian personnel paid from appropriated funds (APF) and non-appropriated funds (NAF), active duty Coast Guard, reservists on active duty or during inactive duty for training, and DOD contract personnel who are performing mission-related duty on the installation. Hourly care is offered on a space available basis and retirees may be eligible when a waiting list does not exist and space is available. We provide care for Welcome Aboard on a space available basis. Please complete all necessary paperwork prior to arriving for care. DOD regulates priority placement protocols.
Local patron fees for Children and Youth Programs are set on an annual basis using the sliding fee ranges published by ASD (M&FP). Sliding fee ranges are based on total family income. Call the Resource and Referral Specialist at 253-5064 for more information.
