The Child Development Center (CDC) offers full-day care for children six weeks to five years of age (not enrolled in kindergarten). The CDC is accredited and complies with Department of Defense (DoD) standards. The CDC follows the Creative Curriculum, a play and theory-based curriculum that offers a variety of planned group and individual activities tailored to children’s developmental needs.

The School Age Center (SAC) offers a variety of planned group and individual activities for children ages 5-12 or those enrolled in kindergarten through 6th grade. SAC Center provides before and after school childcare, extended break care, to include teacher work days, half days and winter, spring and summer breaks for school age children. They also host the summer Camp Adventure Program. SAC is an affiliate of the Boys & Girls Club of America.

The Teen Center is a unique space for teens ages 13-18 to enjoy an inclusive place to socialize, engage in diverse activities, and have a safe place to express themselves. The center houses a gaming room with online gaming and arcade-style games, a café to provide a place for patrons to play board games, read, or complete homework while enjoying a variety of beverages and snacks, and a theater room for watching movies or just relaxing with friends.

Youth & Teen Program

The Youth & Teen Program (Y&TP) is an affiliate of the Boy’s and Girls’ Club of America and offer BGCA related activities. Y&TP provide a positive, alternate support environment that enhances social, emotional and developmental learning for success in life. Youth & Teen activities are open to youth ages 10-18 who are enrolled in primary or secondary school. There are no fees associated with this program.

Youth Cultural Program

Our Youth Cultural Adaptation Specialist brings Japan directly to the children at the Child Development Center (CDC), School Age Care (SAC) and the Youth & Teen Center (Y&TC). Keep an eye out for field trips and opportunities to visit local businesses that are open to all SOFA status kids; even if they are not enrolled in the CDC, SAC or Y&TC.
