The Child Development Center (CDC) offers full-day care, and hourly care, for children six weeks to five years of age (not enrolled in kindergarten). The CDC is accredited and complies with Department of Defense (DoD) standards. The CDC follows the Creative Curriculum, a play and theory-based curriculum that offers a variety of planned group and individual activities tailored to children’s developmental needs.
Childcare providers offer warm and loving homes for children and assure Navy and Marine Corps parents that their children are in a safe and happy environment while they are serving their country. Register your home as a Family Child Care (FCC) Business and receive training on CPR and First Aid, nutrition, child grown and development and much more! Contact MCCS Child and Youth Programs to learn more!

The Youth & Teen Center is a unique space for teens ages 10–18 to enjoy a place to socialize, engage in a wide range of activities, and have a fun place to express themselves. The center houses a gaming room with online gaming and arcade-style games, a café to provide a place for patrons to play board games, read, or complete homework while enjoying various beverages and snacks, and a theater room for watching movies or just relaxing with friends.
The Youth & Teen Program (Y&TP) is an affiliate of the Boys and Girls’ Club of America and offers BGCA-related activities. Y&TP provides a positive, alternate support environment that enhances social, emotional, and developmental learning for success in life. Youth & Teen activities are open to youth ages 10–18 who are enrolled in primary or secondary school. There are no fees associated with this program.
Our Youth Cultural Adaptation Specialist brings Japan directly to the children at the Child Development Center (CDC), School Age Care (SAC) and the Youth & Teen Center (Y&TC). Keep an eye out for field trips and opportunities to visit local businesses that are open to all SOFA status kids; even if they are not enrolled in the CDC, SAC or Y&TC.
