About Personal Financial Management Program (PFMP)
We provide personal financial education, training, and counseling at no cost to servicemembers and their families. A solid understanding of personal financial situations will give a better chance of achieving financial success during your career and help build confidence in facing financial challenges and responsibilities.
We deliver training and education on a recurring basis at the unit level or for an individual. Unit and work section briefs are facilitated by request. Our Personal Financial Management Program team will bring the class to you. Simply call or email to set up an appointment or training.
Counsel service members experiencing financial difficulties or seeking information on personal financial management.
- Each command should have one CFS for every 75 members. (References: MCO 1700.37 and OPNAVINST 1740.5D)
- Act as the command’s principal advisor on financial policies and matters related to personal financial management
- Provides financial education and training, financial information and referral, and financial counseling
