The mission of the Marine Corps Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) is to assure a continuum of care for all enrolled families. EFMP will improve the quality of life of families that support a member with a disability. EFMP will ensure that sponsors with Exceptional Family Members (EFM’s) are assigned to duty stations where services exist to support the EFM with access, and availability, to medical and educational services. Enrollment in the program is mandatory for active duty personnel with a family member who has an exceptional need (MCO P1754.4B).
MON - FRI | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM |
Information Referral Relocation provides resources about services and programs available at MCAS Iwakuni and civilian agencies, both on and outside the base. Workshops and training for relocation are also provided. Simple language assistance is available as well.
MON - FRI | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM |
The Mission of Marine Corps Family Team Building is to foster personal growth and enhance the readiness of Marine Corps and Navy families, which will enable them to understand and successfully meet the challenge of the military lifestyle. The intent is to build a strong bond between the service member, their family and the military.
At MCAS Iwakuni, we all have an affiliation with the Marine Corps in one way or another. It has been said that there are three types of “Family” in the Corps: those who are Born Into, Sworn Into, or Married Into. The Team Building office offers relevant and standardized training in support of Deployment Readiness Programs.
Our goal is to reinforce the pillars of Marine total fitness by sustaining a constant state of personal and family readiness for a lifetime. We make it fun, we make it interactive and we make you want to come back for more!

The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) comprises an experienced and professional team of Social Workers and Registered Nurses who provide supportive and caring services to military families. Through a variety of programs such as home visits, support groups, and parenting classes including Baby Boot Camp, NPSP can help families cope with stress, isolation, deployment/post-deployment issues, and improve parenting skills. Even if you have been raising your family for a few years, challenges always arise, and NPSP offers you the opportunity to express your concerns and ask questions about babies, young children, family relationships, and parenting skills.
