Warrior Athlete Readiness & Resilience (WARR)
WARR is a multifaceted performance system that includes education and hands-on training as it relates to health, wellness, prevention, and human performance. Designed to increase readiness, lethality, and resilience of individual Marines and increase well-being for Marines' families. WARR is the continuation of the HITT/Human Performance program at MCAS Iwakuni and Marine Corps-wide.
Mission: To improve the lethality, longevity, and capacity of our active-duty population while providing world-class support to the greater base community.
WARR offers a variety of services to support the tactical athlete, including:
- Performance Education – Training and briefs as it relates to nutrition, sleep, fatigue management, hydration, and stress reduction.
- Resilience - Part of the Warrior Network Group (WNG) training centers around promoting health-seeking behaviors, leadership, enhancing life skills, and positive coping mechanisms.
- Strength and Conditioning – Physical training guided by certified strength and conditioning coaches that can be tailored to any physical need/demand. Educational briefs can be provided on program design, lifting technique, and injury prevention.
