Popular Trips
Mt. Fuji Overnight Trips
Challenge yourself with a once-in-a-lifetime climb up Japan’s tallest peak. This 4-day adventure includes free time in Tokyo and a stay at the New Sanno Hotel. The trip costs $150 plus the hotel fee (varies by rank/grade). Due to the strenuous nature of the hike, participants must be in good physical condition. Children under 10 are not permitted. Trips are offered three times each year in July and August.
Yoshino River Rafting Trip
Experience the thrill of whitewater rafting on one of Japan’s most exciting rivers. This guided trip is open to participants ages 12 and older and offers an unforgettable day of adventure through scenic canyons and fast-moving rapids.
Fishing Trip at the Harbor
Relax and cast a line on a local fishing trip at the harbor. Perfect for beginners and seasoned anglers alike, this trip is a great way to spend time outdoors and enjoy Japan’s coastal scenery.
Shimanami Bike Trip
Cycle across Japan’s famous Shimanami Kaido, a scenic route that connects islands across the Seto Inland Sea via bridges and bike paths. This trip offers stunning views, fresh air, and a unique way to explore Japan.
Ski & Snowboard Trips
Hit the slopes with us during the winter months! Our ski and snowboard trips take you to a variety of locations known for their powdery snow and beautiful alpine settings. Suitable for all experience levels.
Sailing Information
Licensing Classes
Want to learn to sail? Our four-day sailing license course is $95 per person and open to base personnel ages 16 and up (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). Classes fill quickly—sign up begins one month before the course start date.
Trip Sign-Up Information
Our trip sign-ups open on a staggered basis based on eligibility:
- Active Duty & Family Members: 30 days before the trip
- U.S. Civilians, JMSDF, MLC, IHA: 15 days before the trip
