IronWorks Indoor Pool
The IronWorks Indoor Pool is open only for military training and lap swim. Reservations are required for military training.
With a heated, indoor Olympic-sized pool open year-round, the Semper Fit Aquatics Program provides a premier facility for the community to stay active, build skills, and enhance overall readiness. Whether you’re looking to improve endurance through lap swimming, prepare for military training, or pursue lifeguard certification, our aquatics program offers a professional and supportive environment to help you reach your goals.
We support lap swimming, unit PT sessions, military training reservations, and competitive swim team opportunities. From fitness and skill development to team camaraderie and operational readiness, Semper Fit Aquatics is committed to promoting health, performance, and lifelong aquatic safety throughout the community.
WaterWorks Outdoor Pool
Closed for the season
The Semper Fit Aquatics program has options available for all skill levels. Group swim lessons for infants to adults, S3T for Active-Duty Swim Skills, or even train to become a lifeguard with the outdoor pool open during summer!
Our pools offer recreational swimming, unit PT sessions, group swim lessons, and more. We have designated lap swimming lanes and a recreational area. For children, we offer PFDs and tot docks. Be sure to check out our inflatable obstacle course at special events!
Pool reservations are available for Unit Training or Parties.
Swim Instructors for PT
Reserve a swim instructor for your Unit PT. Improve overall swimming ability, Advance Swim Qual stroke refinement, or specific training. Please indicate in your email with the attached form.
Swim Instructors are also available on an individual basis. Contact OMBIwakuni.Aquatics@usmc-mccs.org or DSN 253-4966.

The Iwakuni Tsunami Swim Team offers a positive and encouraging environment where youth ages 7–18 can develop their swimming skills while enjoying the excitement of team competition. Coaches guide swimmers through technique-focused practices, conditioning workouts, and race preparation to help them improve both in and out of the pool. Throughout the season, participants have opportunities to compete in swim meets, celebrate personal achievements, and build lifelong memories with teammates.
